A Room for the Night?
This image was mainly an exercise in speed. I have been searching for a way to turn around a finished illustration in as short a time as possible.

I sculpted a rough mesh in ZBrush and placed some cubes in Maya to block out the composition. I then used a render of this scene as a basis for the painting. I found this speeded the process significantly as decisions such as lighting could be resolved quickly in 3D leaving more time to polish the image.

I aso wanted to experiment with painting wet conditions as I had never done this before.
